Jun Sakurada, a recluse middle school student, receives a strange package.

Inside the package was a message, "Will you wind?"

If he chose to wind, he'd be given his new doll Shinku. If he chose not to wind, Jun would have gone on to become a university student.
Two choices leading to two different paths.
Yet somehow, both these paths had merged!
Having chosen not to wind, Jun, free from his previous anxieties, struggles to find his place in the world.
And in this world where "Rozen Maiden" should not exist, is Shinku.
Just what does their encounter mean?
