Kickstarter Campaign for Visual Novel "Wonderful Everyday" Launched by Publisher Frontwing

Tokyo, Japan – July 17, 2017 Tokyo-based visual novel developer and publisher Frontwing has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the upcoming visual novel “Wonderful Everyday ~Diskontinuierliches Dasein~”.

With a base goal of $80,000, the Kickstarter aims to make both physical copies as well as a wide variety of merchandise for the title available to fans worldwide who otherwise wouldn't have a chance to obtain such items. Additionally, the campaign features two stretch goals at launch to potentially bring exclusive brand-new content to fans: the first, at $120,000, would fund a full English translation of the artbook, including a long-form interview with writer and producer SCA-DI, and the second $180,000 stretch goal would allow the production of a new short story game set in the world of Wonderful Everyday written by SCA-DI himself.

There are also a number of new rewards exclusive to the campaign, including a full-size replica of Mamiya Hasaki's stuffed rabbit, an object which plays a pivotal role in the game. The high-level tiers allow dedicated fans to receive original shikishi drawings from the original artists for the game, and there is also a special campaign allowing the first 200 backers contributing $310 or more to get a special autograph board signed by the game's staff, including writer and producer SCA-DI. The campaign will be open for 28 days, and post-campaign support will be handled via BackerKit. The Kickstarter campaign can be accessed from the following URL:

“Wonderful Everyday ~Diskontinuierliches Dasein~” is the English localization of developer KeroQ's title “Subarashiki Hibi ~Furenzoku Sonzai~”, commonly abbreviated to simply “Subahibi”. “Wonderful Everyday” is an adult-oriented visual novel, produced and written by SCA-DI, which features dark themes and heavy philosophical explorations. The story follows the lives of Yuki Minakami, Zakuro Takashima, Takuji Mamiya, and others, during the weeks leading up to a significant event in their lives. The English release of “Wonderful Everyday” is hotly anticipated, and the original Japanese “Subarashiki Hibi” consistently ranks among the top titles on visual novel databases and ranking sites.

The first chapter of “Wonderful Everyday”, “Down the Rabbit-Hole”, is planned to be released on Steam in late August at a price point of $29.99 USD. The remaining content of the game will be available at no cost in the form of a free adult content patch, which expands the Steam release to the full version of the game. The resolution of the game has been increased from its original release to 1280 x 960; additionally, the game will feature no mosaic censorship, and assets have been redrawn to accommodate this change. All details regarding the adult patch can be found at the following URL:

This release marks Frontwing's first collaboration with KeroQ for overseas audiences, and further collaboration is currently being considered for potential future projects.
