ADV Films Announces Five Titles for Release

ADV FILMS ANNOUNCES FIVE TITLES FOR HOME VIDEO RELEASE

Final Fantasy: Unlimited—Phase 6; Knights of the Zodiac: The Fire of the Phoenix; Nuku Nuku TV: Life on the Streets; Orphen 2: Revelations; and Wedding Peach: Spring Storm

HOUSTON, April 14, 2004—ADV Films, the #1 producer-distributor of anime in the U.S, today announced street dates for Final Fantasy: Unlimited—Phase 6; Knights of the Zodiac: The Fire of the Phoenix; Nuku Nuku TV: Life on the Streets; Orphen 2: Revelations; and Wedding Peach: Spring Storm.

FINAL FANTASY: UNLIMITED—PHASE 6

ADV Films has set a May 25, 2004 street date for the sixth volume of Final Fantasy: Unlimited, the anime television series inspired by the popular Final Fantasy role-playing video games.

Final Fantasy: Unlimited's director Mahiro Maeda was hand-picked to direct two of the animated shorts included in The Animatrix, the anime side project based on the hit feature film The Matrix. Producers for the series are SQUARE, TV Tokyo (NOIR) and Dentsu (Princess Mononoke, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex). The title's sharp, vibrant animation is from the brilliant team at Gonzo Digimation, animators of Hellsing, Full Metal Panic! and several more of anime's most popular recent titles.

In what seems to be a freak accident, Pist's machinations deposit Jane within a stone's throw of Gaudium. While Cid and the crew try to bring the submarine up to full operation, Chobi and Yu infiltrate the massive floating fortress. It seems the Earl has been waiting for them, and he has something to show Yu...

The trials are far from over, though. The group again finds itself brought to another cube, a desert planet, where the locals face a towering tsunami of terror. A trip down Memory Lane brings with it a new ally, but it won't do the twins any good if they can't extract themselves from the temptations of the past.

Final Fantasy: Unlimited—Phase 6 (SRP $24.98 DVD) is a DVD-only release, containing three complete episodes. Includes both English 5.1- and Japanese 2.0-language versions with English subtitles. Extras include: voice actor/actress commentary; production sketches; Final Fantasy: Unlimited Style Guide Part 2; reversible cover; printed character booklet; clean opening and closing animation; and ADV previews.

KNIGHTS OF THE ZODIAC: THE FIRE OF THE PHOENIX

ADV Films today announced a June 1, 2004 release date for the fourth volume of Knights of the Zodiac, the 40-episode version of the 1980s classic fantasy-action anime series Saint Seiya. ADV Films will release Knights of the Zodiac: The Fire of the Phoenix on DVD and VHS.

Edited for broadcast by DIC Entertainment, Knights of the Zodiac premiered in August on the Cartoon Network's Saturday night line-up to great fanfare. The Knights of the Zodiac is being released simultaneously with the ADV Films' release of the unedited Saint Seiya series, which is based on a manga by Masami Kurumada and produced by one of Japan's top animation studios, Toei Animation (Digimon, Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball).

The Black Knights are unrestrained by an attachment to anyone. The Bronze Knights find strength in what binds them together. Shiryu must risk his powers to save Seiya as he battles the Black Dragon. Andromeda seeks to redeem his brother Ikki after he succumbed to the evil of the Island of Doom.

Who wins the final Showdown with the Phoenix to claim the Gold Cloth will ultimately decide if greed is more powerful than sacrifice, friendship stronger than hate. To do so, the Bronze Knights must fight as one!
