Bandai Namco Holdings Outlines Company's April Reorganization

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Company will have renewed focus on development of overseas business

Bandai Namco Holdings announced on Monday that it will reorganize the structure of the company and its subsidiaries, effective on April 1. A key point in its reorganization is a renewed focus on overseas expansion, with a focus on Europe and the Americas, including strengthening product planning and development globally.

The company's toy subsidiary Bandai will have a new global division. The company's global planning department has been abolished and folded into the America and European divisions.

Bandai Namco Holdings had acquired an 80% controlling stake in September in Nippon Imports, LLC, the collectible toy sales company that owns and operates under the brand and trade name Bluefin.

The consumer electronics business of Bandai Namco Entertainment, the group's video game subsidiary, will be folded into the company's Asian division to prioritize the development of games for Japan and the Asian region.

Arcade game subsidiary Bandai Namco Amusement will have a new overseas division, along with a new creative division tasked with creating new business and diversifying business for the company.

Bandai Namco Arts, the newly established subsidiary formed from the merging the group's music business Lantis into its video division Bandai Visual last year, will consolidate its IP management and music management business into a "management main office." In addition, the company's IP production office will be renamed to the video production office.
