FLCL Progressive Anime's English Dub Streams Internationally on Adult Swim Website
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Adult Swim added all six English-dubbed episodes of the FLCL Progressive anime on the Adult Swim website last month. The episodes are available in the United States, and in some territories outside of the U.S., such as Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany. ANN can confirm the videos are restricted in some other areas, and cannot be viewed in the Philippines, Japan, or Australia.
FLCL Progressive's English-dubbed version premiered on Adult Swim's Toonami block on June 3.
Adult Swim describes FLCL Progressive as follows:
FLCL Progressive tells the story of 14-year-old Hidomi, her classmate Ide, and two otherworldly beings, "Jinyu" and "Haruha Raharu," who are determined to unlock their hidden potential. Mixed up in this is an all-powerful force known as "ATOMSK," a gorgeous vintage car… and a certain Vespa Scooter.
FLCL Alternative, the second new series, is slated for September 8 at 11:30 p.m. on Toonami. The first episode already premiered on Adult Swim on April 1.
In Japan, the anime will debut in theatrical screenings, with FLCL Alternative opening first on September 7, and FLCL Progressive opening on September 28.
Adult Swim originally planned to stream the English-subtitled version of both shows online simultaneously with the English-dubbed version airing on Toonami, but delayed their availability to November at TOHO's request.
