Cave's Sangoku Justice Smartphone Game Slated for June

posted on by Karen Ressler

The official website for Cave's iOS and Android game Sangoku Justice announced on Friday that the game is slated to launch in June.

A closed beta test was held between February 22 and March 8. The game's chief director Tsuneki Ikeda explained that the company is taking time to improve the game based on beta tester feedback.

The game's story begins in the year 2038, when Japan's declining population and low birthrates lead to the government opening the doors to unrestricted use of life sciences to reclaim their lost glory, and more and more citizens become factory-born. Japan's surrounding countries, in strong opposition to this, begin funding anti-government forces, which triggers a civil war in Japan. In the year 2040, with both sides exhausted by seemingly endless war, a new international crime organization rises as a third power in the country between the government forces and the rebels. In this new Japan where human beings can be created so trivially, no one is left to mourn the departed, and the civil war sees no end in sight.
