I'm not super familiar with the Saiyuki series, but jeez, she's been through a -ton- and I wish her a speedy and continuous recovery. Spinal stenosis is what Izumi Matsumoto had as well. Sad

Hello! Cool

I am truly saddened to hear that Kazuya Minekura is having problems with her health again. I hope that she will get the help she needs. My thoughts are with her. She is a gifted artist. Sayuki is a great story.

I remember around the time the anime for Blast came out, I watched a video of her drawing a color portrait of Sanzo. It was fascinating to see how much work went into the art. Every time I'd think, "wow, that looks great" and think she was done, she'd start detailing another section of it and making it even better. The finished work makes it look easy, but seeing how she got to it was a revelation.

To hear about all her health issues, I can see why she might have second thoughts about if she should continue. As a fan, I'm glad she did, but as a human being, it's a difficult choice to weigh what she loves vs what that costs her physically. I hope she can find the balance to recover as much as possible and still do her life's work.

It's terrible to hear that she's had all these conditions and pain. I hope she takes her time and recovers. It's a bit troubling that she started to re-think her choice and it's indeed difficult.

I would LOVE to see Saiyuki get a proper conclusion BUT her health needs to come first. She has been is so much pain for so long. I wish her the best and thank her for all of the wonderful art and stories she's given us.

She's been going through struggles for so long. I truly hope all goes well for her and things start to smooth out for her. I love her art and stories so much. It's great that Saiyuki will be getting another anime coming out. Anything to lift her spirits a little more.
