This girl should really start making manga about something other than herself and her problems...

You literally made your account yesterday, and every one of your 6 posts are either whining, mean, or conspiracy bs. Maybe wait a moment or two before hitting that submit button.

I for one love all of Kabi's work. It's an honest, endearing showcase of her imperfections as a human being. I wish her all the best in anything she does.

So... based on what I gather between her manga titles...
Getting lesbian prostitutes, eating and drinking are her coping mechanisms?
I hope she turns out ok, Or maybe she is ok and she is just remembering the bad ol' times of her life

The point here is that the author has been making incredible auto-biographical manga for the past few years documenting her struggles and her growth, and you're complaining that she should do something else even though her work has been so important and meaningful. There are plenty of other manga out there, you can find something else that you would rather want to read without trying to tear down the stories of people who need to tell them.

I was just saying that she won't have a great career if she keeps doing only manga about herself...

I don't think she's making manga to become the next mainstream hit, rather to share her most troublesome experiences in life and how she solved that for people who are going to to find in that some solace and/or identification. We are blessed in the fact manga can have a lot genres, aren't we?

I also don't think she needs someone who isn't even in the target group for whom this manga is meant for to worry about her career for her.

I worry about her career 'cause she has some potential, but yeah, She can write about herself until she's 60 or 70yo, if she wants to throw away her talent...

I don't understand this whole spiel about "wasting talent". Maybe for you, who doesn't care about her experiences, but there are plenty of people who'd be happy to read her manga and see her talent being put to use on a genre that isn't very widespread in this media.

Is that wasting a talent? Would you rather she wrote a shounen then? But then it won't come out as good because she's writing about a genre she doesn't care for, isn't it right? Creative work is always at mercy of the creator's muse.

She seems to like to write about it, and honestly you'd need a lot of courage to write about your lowest to complete strangers, specially in japanese society; and her fans seem to like to read it.

People have different priorities in life, and if she's not willing to stop writing what she feels she needs to write to grow in her career, that's her choice, no matter how talented, isn't it?

Yeah, because there exist only autobiographical graphic novels and shounen manga...

Dang, this woman is going through a lot. May her next autobiography be about her getting therapy.

I thought that Nagata is a pen name, and she'd had other works published under a better-known name.

This isn't really about what she going through now, it what she went through. She mentioned her eating disorder in her past works briefly, now this book will make it the main topic.

Oops, thanks for the clarification! I've only read her first manga, so I assumed these were all sequential events.
