Considering Sony are now censoring even re-released games with mild fan service scenes you've got no chance in hell of this being unscathed, even for an all ages version
Switch version will likely receive far less if any going by recent trends. This infection is spreading now to Japan only games.

Who knew that moving your PlayStation headquarters to the regressive heartland that is California would cause an increase in censorship?

Japan doesn’t allow sex scenes and nudity in their games. And I extremely doubt that they will allow an uncut version for us while Japan gets a censored version. Plus Sony outside of Japan being more strict with just regular ecchi games.

Its the official All Age version from japan, which is already released on the switch
The only thing they maybe removed from the PS4 version is the "pat" feature or some scenes in the bath are more censored like in the recent NoraNeko release in japan (screenlights)

I wonder if it was delayed because they had to remove the boob bounciness feature. Sony’s track record lately, they’ve been censoring games in Japan itself so I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the case

If the censored version of Nekopara seriously needed more censorship to be put on PS4, I suggest everyone stop buying any anime-related games or visual novels for PS4. This is getting ridiculous. Someone needs to tell Sony that if the ESRB approves it, you don't need to intervene to appeal to a demographic that wouldn't play it anyways.

Relevant to this, Sony do have a new policy and it is affecting even Japanese only releases. Worth a read as it sounds like SJdubyas have finally infected Sony causing this change. Why else would a Japanese company have to appeal for their Japanese release in English?

I am curious to hear if any changes have been made to Nekopara since it sounds like the censorship of games is going to get a lot worse with Sony. Several gaming blogs are reporting that Sony now requires Japanese game developers to have their games reviewed by Sony of America to decide whether those games can get released in Japan which has led to a massive increase in censorship. There are some interesting PS4 vs Switch comparison videos getting released which shows that this censorship policy is going to affect a lot of games.

Thanks for the link. After reading through the responses of that article and seeing a few people mentioning that the next Omega Labyrinth game will be Switch exclusive (I’ve been out of the loop since I currently don’t game as much as I did in the past), I may want to buy it just to show my support if Nintendo doesn’t do what Sony has been doing recently to these types of games.

What makes you think they don't already know this?

It's like how AO games can be made for and released on these platforms but how the publishers basically lean on companies not to make these games or insert such content in their games.

I'd be surprised if this was the case since I don't know of any game that was designed with jiggle.physics in mind having it removed or edited.

Didn't know California was a red state in the Bible belt.

The American media industry is controlled by liberals, not bible thumpers.

For those that can read Japanese, here's another article from Japan.

Although it seems like a lot of comments were deleted. There was so much bile in them yesterday like calling Americans and Sony cockroaches and other slurs. Some are still there, but the outrage is completely understandable though. If Nintendo was smart they'd profit off this, since the Switch is within spitting distance of the PS4 in Japan.

AO Games can't be released on any of the three game console platforms. The ESRB isn't the issue here and the problem is that Sony is demanding that all Japanese games get approval from censors in California which had led to stuff like censoring anime women in swimsuits:

https://twitter.com/uitachibana/status/1055308002520117253

Note that they even censored her belly button in the PS4 version which is peak cosmic justice. We have gotten to the point where belly buttons are now considered too sexy for the PS4.

Warriors Orochi 4 had jiggle physics removed from the PS4 though there is a debate whether it is censorship or a bug. Still it is very convenient that this bug happened right during the new censorship policy from Sony and that the jiggle physics work perfectly in the Switch version of the game.

The people who bought Nekopara have reported that the PS4 version is censored when compared to the Switch version. The boob jiggle in the PS4 version has been removed and the amount of steam was increased which even includes the midriff region. I guess the censors at Sony really do think that the belly button is too sexy for the PS4. What makes the situation with Sony even more amazing is that even Chinese gamers are complaining about censorship since Sony required a Chinese publisher to release a patch for the Chinese version of Mary Skelter 2 that added censorship to the game after it had been released.
