Why this sh*tty character design?! WHY?!!

(No, I will NOT accept 'it's a kids' show' as an answer because if that is the reason then past series would've had goofy designs as well)

Thanks for this link, but while the video is informative, it doesn't explain why the character DESIGNS has to be sacrificed to such atrocious levels just for the sake having a few more frames and less recycled animation. Is it really worth it? Some might think so but I'd rather have a nice looking stiff show than something ugly that moves fluidly.

Considering how wacky the Z-Move poses are, a cool-looking character doing all those crazy moves looks weird. And I guess the writers of this saga are different from XY.

Maybe that's because the art style makes it look more wacky than it is. XYZ Ash with his more serious face would make it look cooler. We don't laugh at the way Naruto characters run but If you saw Doraemon characters do it, it'd probably look hilarious.

even with this artstyle i will give this season a try and wont judge it just by the poster and trailer.

Go ahead but every piece of media is highlighting the comedy and art style more than anything else. It's quite crystal clear what they're aiming for especially seeing how drastically different it is from XY. Trailers these days aren't exactly subtle.

With the gaming debut of Sun and Moon drawing near, I'm really excited to watch the anime show of it! Very Happy I can't wait to see which Alolan Starter Pokémon Ash will choose as his first pick!

I want to have faith in Rica, but how the hell is she going to top "XY&Z" when they probably want her to make some cheesy Hawaii song. "XY&Z" raised the bar too high. lol

You guys seriously need to stop copy and pasting beacuse I'm seeing the same consistent mistake each Sun and Moon anime article.

I hope Funimation can license Pokemon Sun & Moon in both Sub and Dub versions...If they do that, then I will be happy for sure!

That's if The Pokémon Company were interested in making some sort of deal with them, in which the chance of that occurring are astronomical. Even if that were to happen, Funimation would be forced to use the localized names of the Trainers and Pokémon to maintain consistency with the gaming side of the franchise.
