Yeah, as much as I enjoyed GH as a whole I found the hyper sexualisation of middle school girls really, really creepy.

In terms of recent mystery manga that never really took off, I prefer Sherlock Bones over this. This was still okay, but there's a LOT that needed re-working.

I actually preferred the silly courtroom stuff over the more serious overarching plot about the Bloody Session. More so when the message of the series became clear: Don't assume the worst in other people because it's probably not true. All of Inugami's cases that don't involve the Bloody Session are incidents that would seem horrifying to adults but are actually completely harmless and only look bad.

Of course, I tend to really enjoy series about kids in school who behave in unsettlingly un-kidlike ways like South Park and Codename: Kids Next Door. They remind me of my own experiences in school. (I did not watch South Park until its fourth season, but when I did, I felt it was something missing in my life. I thought, "Finally! A series about elementary school age kids who actually ACT and TALK like elementary school age kids!")
