If I understand well, these two are names of the same publication line (kind of like CMX from DC). Therefor, I would regard them as duplications of Fujimi Shobo, and merged all three together, correct ? But under what name ?

We've arrived at 'H':
(correct entry/entries are marked in bold)

*Hachikuro Production Committee and HachiKuro Prouction Committee (typo)

*Hadashi Pro, Hadashi Production, Hadashi-Pro and Hadashiburo
Source : I couldn't find a direct link, but an extensive google search showed only "Pro" entries (apart from the data on ANN)

*Hakuensha (typo), Hakusen-sha, Hakusensha, Hakusensha K.K. and Hukesensha, Inc. (probably a typo)
Source : the Hakusensha website
Thanks for noticing to doc-watson42 and littlegreenwolf

*Hal Film Maker and Hal Film Maker Company
Source : according to their website, the correct name is HAL FILM MAKER Co., Ltd.. The best solution is to use only Hal Film Maker.

Source : the Half H·P website
Previously reported by Samurai CDZ, addition by Goras (and by myself)

*Hana to Yume and Hana to Yume Comics

*Hayakawa Publishing and Hayakawa Publishing, Inc.
Source : their website only says Hayakawa Publishing, although many other internet sites mention it with Inc.

Noticed by asumikamogawa

Source : the Horizon webpage

*Hyun Yang Dong Hwa (typo) and Hyun Yang Dong Wha

*Hangzhou Flying Dragon Cartoon Co., Ltd. and Hangzhou Flying Dragon Cartoon Company, Ltd.

It is 'I' :
(correct entry/entries are marked in bold)

*I & S Corporation, I&S and I&S Inc.
Source : Sadly enough, I can't find a website to clear this out, but since they're all involved in one of the Tenchi Muyo movies (with the well-known task "Committee" or "Cooperation"), I suppose they're the same.
Does anyone know if I & S Seidokaikan is also involved in this ?

*Icarus Publishing and Irarus Publishing (typo)
Source : the Icarus website

*IMAGI, Imagi Internation Holdings Limited (typo) and Imagi International Holdings Limited
Source : the Imagi website

*Industrial Smoke & Mirrors, Industrial Smoke and Mirrors and Industrial Smoke and Mirros (typo)
Source : the Industrial Smoke and Mirrors website

*Intersound Inc., Intersound, Inc. and Intersound,Inc.
Source : it's no real proof, but most titles in Google display it as "Intersound, Inc.". Actually, it doesn't really matter, does it ?

*ITA1, Italia 1, Italia1 and ItaliaUno
Source : the Italia 1 website

*Italia Teen Television and Italian Teen Television
Source : officially, it's Italia Teen TV, so you kan leep the first one

*Italia 7 and Italia7
Source : the Italia 7 website

*Italia 7 Gold and Tele 7 Gold
Source : the 7 Gold website

Some doubt however on the naming of the following duplicates :
*Idol and Idol Co., Ltd.
*Inoue Edit Room and Inoue Editing
*Ishida Sound, Ishida Sound Group and Ishida Sound Production
*Intertrack Mexico and Intertrack S.A. de C.V. Mexico
By the way, Intertrack S.A. & Telegrabaciones Morelos S.A. is a double company name, but since it's empty, I think it can be deleted.

"Douga"/"dōga" is the older word for "animation", used before "anime" became popular. It's also the word for the inbetween drawings ("ginga" is the word for key drawings) used to make cels.

"K.K." is merely the equivalent of "Inc.", and probably can be left off most company names.

As for Fujimi Shobo/Fujimi Fantasy, I don't have much of an opinion, though I guess the former, and redirects to it from the latter.

As you head into "J", note the duplicates (names to be deprecated are in parentheses):
J.C. Staff (J. C. Staff, JC Staff, JC Stuff)
    J.V.D. / JVD
Japan Victor / Japan Victor Company / JVC / "JVC/Japan Victor Company"
Japanica Polonica Fantastica / Japonica Polonica Fantastica (JPF) ", / Japonica Polonica Fantastica (JPF)" [sic for the latter two]
    JapanAnime (Japan Anime)
    Jason 71 / Jason71.com
    Jay Film / J Film
    JEC E / Jec.E / JECC E
    Jetix (etc.)
    Jin Production / Jin Productions
JINDIE Music Enterincess / JINDIE Music Enterincess (PolyGram Japan)
Jingwen Records (Warner Music Japan) / Jingwen Records Co. Ltd
    Jinnan Studio (Jinnan Studo)
JN Productions / JN Productions, Inc. (Jin Productions?)
    JPS Producties / JPS Production
Just For Kids Home Video (Just for Kids Video) (This is a label of Celebrity Home Video—see the list of companies at the bottom of http://animemania01.tripod.com/animeu_z.htm and http://www.animenation.net/news/askjohn.php?id=1082 )
Jay West Productions / Jay West Studios
I'm too lazy to render these into BBCode, and there are probably more.

From "Z":

Zero G - Room
Zero G Room
Zero-G Room
Zero-G-Room

I can't tell you which is correct, though the third has the most entries. However, I can tell you this:
Quote:
Zero G Room [sic]. Studio founded in 1991 by director Hiroshi Negishi, along with fellow animators Takuya Saito and Toshinari Yamashita, eventually merged into planning company Radix.

From the draft of The Anime Encyclopedia, Revised and Expanded Edition. So while I would allow Zero-G Room (or Zero G Room) to continue to exist (since it was a separate entity), it needs a note added to the above effect. Further (circumstantial) evidence: the URL for Radix's Web site is http://www.radixzero.co.jp/ .

Edit: Silly me—I forgot about the Wayback Machine. Here's the Radix/Zero-G-Room ([sic]; this seems to be the official spelling) site for Dec 04, 2000.

These are my findings for the letter 'J' :
(correct entry/entries are marked in bold)
Thanks to doc-watson42 for noticing most of these entries.

*Japan Anime and JapanAnime
Source : the JapanAnime website

*Japan Victor, Japan Victor Company, JVC and JVC/Japan Victor Company
Source : the Japanese and English JVC site. Worldwide it's known as JVC, so I would prefer that name.

*Japanica Polonica Fantastica, Japonica Polonica Fantastica (JPF) " and Japonica Polonica Fantastica (JPF)"
Source : obvious

*Jason 71 and Jason71.com
Source : officially, it's Jason71, but Jason 71 is OK too. No need to create a new entry.

*Jetix Latin America, Jetix TV L.A., Jetix (Brazil) and Jetix TV (Brazil)
Source : the Jetix website

*JINDIE Music Enterincess and JINDIE Music Enterincess (PolyGram Japan)
Source : no website found, but quite obvious duplicates. Both are correct but it depends on how you want the information be shown. I let you ANN staff choose which title you prefer.

*Jingwen Records (Warner Music Japan) and Jingwen Records Co. Ltd
Source : no website found, but quite obvious. I let you ANN staff choose which title you prefer.

*Jinnan Studio and Jinnan Studo (typo)
Source : just a typo, plus the Jinnan Studio website

*JN Productions and JN Productions, Inc.
Source : the JN Productions, Inc. website

*JPS Producties and JPS Production
Source : a dutch website on JPS Producties

*Just For Kids Home Video and Just for Kids Video
Source : This is a label of Celebrity Home Video - see the list of companies at the bottom of http://animemania01.tripod.com/animeu_z.htm and http://www.animenation.net/news/askjohn.php?id=1082
Thanks to doc-watson42 for also providing the source information

*J.V.D. and JVD
Source : the JVD Website, provided by doc-watson42

And these are duplicates of which I can't find a proof which name is correct :
*J Film and Jay Film
*J. C. Staff (empty), J.C. Staff, JC Staff and JC Stuff (typo, empty)
Already notice by Dormcat
*Japan Digital and Japan Digital Entertainment, Inc.
*Jay West Productions and Jay West Studios (?)
*JEC E, Jec.E and JECC E
*Jin Production and Jin Productions
Is this a duplicate from the JN Productions above ?

Time for the 'K' :
(correct entry/entries are marked in bold)

First two 'double vowels' duplicates :
*Kounin Doga and Kounin Douga
*Kyoe Doga and Kyouei Douga

Now the others :
*K Production, K-Production and K. Production
Source : the K-Production website

*Kadokawa Shoten and Kaokawa Shoten (typo)
Source : the Kadokawa website

*Kana and her mother company Dargaud
Source : the Kana website

*Kansai Television Network and Kansai TV
Source : officially, it should be Kansai Telecasting Corporation (see this Wikipedia entry on Kansai), but since the Nickname is Kansai TV, I suggest to keep the second name.

*Kaze, Kaze Animation S.A and Kaze Animation S.A.
Source : the official name of this French publisher is Kaze SA, and the two other links refer to this company.
The entry Kaze animation seems to be a different one (Japanese company, credited for background art) so I suggest keeping Kaze to make a distinction.

*Kyoto Broadcasting and KBS Kyoto
Source : a previous duplicate post by cat_clan (Thanks, cat_clan !!)

*Kids WB, KIDS' WB and KIDS' WB!
Source : the Kids' WB! website

*Kobunsha and [url=company#2070] Kobusha[/url] (typo)
Source : the Kobunsha website

*Kodansha, KONDANSHA (typo), Kodansha publishers, Ltd and Kodansha Uppers Kc
Source : the Kodansha website. Uppers was a magazine published by Kodansha. The entry is empty, so I think it's redundant.

And finally, some small differences that I find no exact name for :
*Kaname Production and Kaname Productions
*Key Stone and Keystone
*KiKi and KiKi Cooperation, Kiki Inc.
*Kiseki and Kiseki Films
Noticed efore by jfrog
*Kusama Art and Kusama Art Ltd.
*Kusanagi, Art Kusanagi, Art House Kusanagi, Person Kusanagi and Kusanagi Art Studio
Noticed by Samurai CDZ in a previous post

'L' is a short one :

*La 5 and La5
Source : this history of La 5. This late French private Broadcaster is not to be confused with the Official chain 'France 5'.
Noticed before by quincyarcher

*Laser Pacific Media Cooperation and Laser Pacific Media Corporation
Source : the Laser Pacific Media website

*Laughing Dog Studios and Laughing Dog Sudios NYC (typo)
Source : the Laughing Dog Studios website

*Lee Production, Lee Production Co., Ltd. and Lee Productions
Source : many websites, like this one credites the only entry of Lee Productions (Beyblade) to Lee Production.
Has anyone an idea whether or not LEEPRO is also duplicate ?

*Locomotion, Locomotion (Brazil) and Locomotion Brazil
Source : [/url]

And these are duplicates from which I can't find the proper name :
*[url=http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/company.php?id=4478]L-Green
and L. Green Pro.
*Last House and Lasthouse
Noticed by wao
*Life Work Corp. and Lifework
*Little Lion Studios Inc. and Little Lion Studios, Inc.
both companies are mentioned in several websites, with a slight preference for the "comma" entry

And now for something completely different : 'M'

Source : the Madman website

Source : the Kodansha website and this Wikipedia entry

Source : information on Animeka

*Maki Pro, Maki Pro Film Developing, Maki Productions and Maki-Pro
Source : this Japanese Wikipedia entry
Noticed previously by Michi; proof provided by doc-watson42

Source : The correct name is Manga Entertainment Inc., as can be found on Wikipedia, and on the English and American Manga Entertainment page

*Manga Shonen and Manga Shounen

Source : the Mangaline webpage. Note that MangaLine Edições is the Purtuguese affiliate and should not be merged with the two above.

Source : the Manglobe page

*Matlin Recording Studios and Matlin Recording, Inc.
Source : the Matlin page

*Media Blaster and Media Blasters
Source : the Media Blasters webpage

*Media Fatory, Media Factory Ltd. and Media Factory, Inc.
Source : see official homepage
Reported with proof by drone9

*Media Works, Media Works, Inc., Tokyo and MediaWorks Japan
Source : on the official website is mentioned "(c)2004 MediaWorks Inc.". I would have prefered a new entry, but eventually, we can stick to MediaWorks Japan, as this has the closest match to the original.

*Medusa Communications and Medusa Communications and Marketing Ltd.
Source : this website

*Merak Film, MERAK FILM - Milano and Merak Film Milano
Source : Just as with Deneb film, "Milano" is just a geographical indicator and can be removed.

*Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and MGM Home Entertainment
Source : the MGM website

*Minamimachi Bugyosho and Minamimachi Bugyousho

*Mita Studio and Mitsuda Studio
Source : a previous duplicate post by cat_clan (Thanks, cat_clan !!)

*Mixxine and Mixxzine
Source : a previous duplicate post by cat_clan (Thanks, cat_clan !!)

*Monthly Comic Beam and Monthly Comic Beam
Source : The second entry has a different kind of spaces between the words. Otherwise, there's no difference.
Noticed by tymes

*Dengeki Comics, Monthly Comic Dengeki GAO! and Monthly Dengeki Comic GAO!
Source : the GAO webpage

*Monthly Shonen Magazine and Gekkan Shonen Magazine
Source : the Gekkan webpage

*Mook and Mook Animation
Source : the official name is Mook Animation, Inc., but you can keep the second entry

*Moon Rock and Moonrock
Source : the Moonrock website

*MTV and MTV + MTV 2 POP
Source : MTV online. The MTV + MTV 2 POP is a double company entry, and should be either deleted, or merged with MTV. It's empty anyway.

*MTV 2 and MTV2
Noticed by smutchi
Source : the MTV2 website

*MTV 2 Pop and MTV2 Pop
Noticed by smutchi
Source : a Wikipedia site on MTV2 pop

*Museum Pictures and Museum Pictures Corporation
Source : on the internet, the MP titels are credited by both companies together, but mostly (also Dirty thoughts, the only title in MPC) by MP

And a lot of duplicates with uncheckable names :

We're halfway through, here's the 'N' :
(correct entry/entries are marked in bold)

*Nakamura Production and Nakamura Productions
Source : for 'Nakamura Productions', the only Google hit is ANN; other websites, even after a search for the connection with R.O.D. (one of the two entries in Nakamura Productions), many sites refer to Nakamura Production.

*Nakayoshi and Nakayoshi KC Comics
Source : Nakayoshi is a shojo magazine where the mentioned entries are serialized. The only site who refers to it as "Nakayoshi KC Comics" is Wikipedia on the Jigoku shoujo page, but the link refers back to the Nakayoshi site where is stated that the publisher is Kodansha.

*Naruto Movie Committee and NARUTO Movie Production Committee
Source : Both have produced one of the two Naruto movies. Quite suspicious. Apart from ANN, there's one NMPC link to a dutch website. For NMC, there is none.

*Neko Neko Soft and Nekoneko Software
Source : the Nekoneko website

*Nendaidouga Yuugenkoshi and Nendaidouga Yuugenkoushi

*New Japan Studio and New Japan Studios
Source : 3 Urusei Yatsura movies have New Japan Studios as recording facility, but Urusei Yatsura: Lum The Forever (movie) has New Japan Studio as recording facility, so I regard the second as a typo.

*NHK Enterprise 21, NHK Enterprises, NHK Enterprises 21, NHK Enterprises21, Nep 21 and NEP21
Source : Officially it should be NHK Enterprises 21 Inc., but you best keep the third one without creating a new entry.
Many thanks to doc-watson42 for giving proof of these duplicates.

*NHK Satellite BS2 and NHK-BS2
Source : this Wikipedia List of Japan TV channels

*Nickelodeon and Nockelodeon (typo)
Source : the Nickelodeon page is a reliable source, if it was ever needed

*Nifty-serve ISP, Niftyserv ISP and Nifyserve ISP
Source : just any search on internet; Niftyserve was one of the biggest ISP in Japan, now merged and called @Nifty.

*Nightjar LLC, Nightjar, LLC and NightJar, LLC.
Source : the Nightjar website

*Nihonbungei-sha and Nihonbungeisha
Source : the Nihonbungeisha site
Noticed with clear proof by Dormcat

*Nikkatsu and Nikkatsu Corporation
Source : the Nikkatsu site

*Nintendo
Already noticed by Golden Darkness; this entry contains info on the japanese, as well as the USA company, so it should better be merged with one of the two below, and cleaned up (or the other way around)
Nintendo Co. Ltd.
Nintendo of America

*Nippan, Nippon Shuppan Hanbai, Inc and Nippon Shuppan Hanbai, Inc.
Source : the Nippan website; the complete name is Nippon Shuppan Hanbai, Inc., but they constantly use Nippan themselves, so I should prefer that name.

*Nippon Columbia, Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd. and Nipppn Columbia Co., Ltd. (typo)
Source : the Nippon Columbia website

*Nippon Herald and Nippon Herald Film Group
Source : the Nippon herald website

And 1 duplicate where I can't find the correct name :
*Nana Pro and NANA Production Team
